About CF Electrical Services

Eleven Years of Electrical Work

Chris started in the electrical trade and spent years doing installation and service work. Over that time, he noticed something: strata managers were constantly struggling with electrical planning — they needed reports, they needed expertise, but they didn't need another vendor adding to their workload.

That's what led to CF Electrical Services. The idea was simple: bring the same attention to detail and reliability that Chris brought to every job site, but apply it to the planning and consulting side. Handle the complexity. Deliver accurate work. Make it easy for the people managing these buildings.

Today, CF Electrical Services is focused on exactly that. We're not trying to be everything to everyone. We do strata electrical consulting and we do it well: Electrical Planning Reports, EV Ready Plans, and project management for strata electrification projects — plus Depreciation Reports — for BC strata corporations.

Every report is sealed by the Qualified Person the regulation requires, and every engagement — report or managed project — is explained in words a volunteer council can work with.

Who provides Electrical Planning Reports for BC strata corporations?

CF Electrical Services is an independent strata electrical consulting firm that prepares Electrical Planning Reports (EPRs) for strata corporations across British Columbia. We cover every BC strata building type — concrete high-rises and mid-rises through wood-frame walk-ups and townhouse complexes — and sign and seal each report with the Qualified Person credential the regulation calls for. We work BC-wide from our Vancouver office and reply to every enquiry with a fixed-price proposal within one business day.

Does CF Electrical Services do the electrical installation work?

No. CF Electrical Services is consulting only — we prepare EPRs and EV Ready Plans, manage strata electrification projects, and prepare Depreciation Reports. Your strata hires a separate licensed electrical contractor for any installation, even on projects we manage. That independence is deliberate: we do the consulting and report-writing; we don't do the installation, so our recommendations stay impartial.

Can CF Electrical Services manage our strata’s EV charging or heat pump project?

Yes — project management for strata electrification projects is one of our three core services. When a strata implements an EV charging rollout, a heat pump conversion, or another large electrical retrofit, CF manages the project on the strata's behalf: scope and specifications, comparable contractor quotes, rebate coordination, schedule and budget oversight, and plain-language council communication. The installation itself is performed by the licensed contractor your strata hires directly. See electrification project management.

What does an Electrical Planning Report cost, and how do I get a price?

Send your building details — Strata Plan number, address, and unit count — and we respond with a fixed-price proposal within one business day. Pricing depends on building size, complexity, and whether you combine the EPR with an EV Ready Plan. We quote a fixed price rather than billing hourly, so the price you accept is the price you pay.

Which areas of British Columbia does CF Electrical serve?

All of them. CF Electrical Services serves strata corporations across British Columbia — Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, the Capital Regional District and Vancouver Island, the Sea-to-Sky corridor and Sunshine Coast, the Okanagan, the Kootenays, the Cariboo–Thompson, and Northern BC — from our Vancouver office. How long does an EPR take to complete?

Typically six to ten weeks from intake to sealed delivery. The main variable is BC Hydro consumption-data turnaround. We commit to a delivery date in the proposal — and we hit it.

Can CF prepare our Electrical Planning Report and Depreciation Report together?

Yes — and most BC stratas should. The reports share inputs (building drawings, utility consumption data, and condition information), so commissioning them together is faster and less duplicative than ordering them separately. CF Electrical Services delivers both under one engagement.
